Telepsychiatry / Telemedicine / Virtual Sessions:

  • ​​We are now a telemedicine practice.  We no longer see patients in-office.

  • We deliver virtual / telepsychiatry / telemedicine (HIPAA-compliant audio / video) services to our patients using the DOXY.ME platform. 
 
  • Due to The Ryan Haight Act, a federal law prohibiting physicians from prescribing controlled medications via telemedicine without an in-person office visit, we DO NOT prescribe ANY controlled medications (stimulants for ADHD, sleep medication like Ambien, anti-anxiety medication like Xanax, or any pain medication).  Therefore, we are not able to serve individuals who rely on these types of medications.
 
  • Certain situations require more intense services than we can provide in an outpatient setting, and therefore are not appropriate for telemedicine. 
 
  • Currently, we are NOT accepting any new child / adolescent patients.  
 
  • We do NOT see patients over the age of 65 years young, as Dr. Fortuchang is not a geriatric psychiatrist.
 
  •  Patients MUST be in the state of GA during EVERY telemedicine visit.
